Describe

The topic of my second class was Quantifiers. I arranged the desk in a horseshoe form, in that way I could have more contact with students. I greeted the students with enthusiasm, they were very active. As I prepared everything beforehand, I think this class was good. The only problem that I had was with the time I set to the activities. I always ran out of time. I believe I this is my main problem.

I started the class with an activity in which the students were in a circle and the ss that was inside had to guess who had the ball; if he did not guess he must say an example of the quantifiers. In that way I made a review about the previous class. The students were motivated playing and at the same time they were learning.

Then I made pairs and gave them fill in the blank exercise.

After that they have to create a story based on quantifiers.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally enjoy activities in groups where movement and thinking are involved.  Because they play and have fun and at the same time they can learn something new or clarify something that was not clear previously.

I believe that this kind of exercises are good to practice, but is not so good to overuse them because students get bored.

In this activity the students took too much time so the teacher started to look at her watch, which made me feel uncomfortable so, I was rushing the students.

In the future, I will try to include more activities like this one, in which fun and knowledge are together.

In future lessons I will try to create another activity because this activity might result somehow tedious for the students.

In future classes I will try organize my time, and make sure I give the appropriate time and importance to each activity because I always prepare many activities which I cannot develop.

Describe

In general terms I can say that my first class was very good, I felt happy because I felt comfortable with the students, for sure that gave me the confidence to develop my class in more dynamic way. At the beginning of the class, I introduce myself to the Intermediate I students later on, I developed a warm up activity in which they have to spell a word without making the sound of vowels; instead they had to mimic, they performed the activity with enthusiasm. After that I started the class with grammar explanation of WH questions using Past Progressive. Later I provide them some fill in the blanks practice. Finally ss had practice rearranging the sentences and they have to run to the board and write the sentence

I could notice that some students participated actively in the warm-up. Although in the practice they were less active.

Some students had problems with the pair-work.

When explaining the practice for them, students were a little bit confused.

Based on what I saw, I think they need to fell motivated to learn, if not they would could not pay attention to what they are learning.

Based on what I observed, I think that these students need to feel comfortable with the person they are working.

I believe that I should explain practice in a better way so I would have to waste time by repeating the same explanation.

So, in the future, I will try to transmit motivation to my students because I think it will help in the comprehension of the class.

In future lessons I will prepare more risked tasks for the students to think, and analyze rather than having a simple conversation

The next time I will try to explain the activities in a less complicated way, with few words and be more concise
