Describe


 
My last class was really good because I felt so confident and exited because I was about to finish my practicum. For, I try to make a different warm up. What I did was that I took them to an imaginary scenario; they closed their eyes and I was guiding them into a trip in their mind. At the end I made them questions about specific details of their imaginary trip. The next activity was a reading about meetings in different countries and they made groups of four ss and the last activity was a presentation based on the reading.

I could notice that the students were with their eyes closed and enjoyed the imaginary trip.



I could see that at the moment of the reading activity they were very attentive, they payed attention while I was reading.



When they were in groups. I was explaining to one group what they were supposed to do and I was focus on them; then I notice that a group started to speak of different topics they were not on task at the moment




Based on what I saw warm up activities can be different once in a while. Because they were very active in the class despite the activity was not about to be moving.


I could observe that it is very important to give them time for them to read and look for new words in a reading and write them in the board and explain the meaning.



Monitoring is very important because if I pay too much attention to one side of the classroom the other side will be chaos.

In future lessons I will consider to include this activity without over use it.






In the future I will try to include inside the reading a glossary of probable’s new words.





Next time I will try to provide indications in more simple ways. In that way I will monitor the classroom the whole time.

The second class I felt really good because this time the classes were in a different classroom. The place had a lot of space and the weather was fine, the environment was very appropriate for learning. The warm up was very good because students really liked it. Students made a circle and I gave them a ball, one ss was in the middle of the circle while the students forming the circle were passing the ball behind them. The student had to guess who had the ball, if he did not guess he had a penalty. The following activities were very good because ss were on task all the time.

I could notice that the students really enjoyed the warm up. Their attitude was very enthusiastic because they did not want to finish the activity.

The second activity required that students were facing each other and asks questions about animals.

The next exercise they did it in groups of three and they did it in their seats.




Based on what I saw, students enjoyed interact with each other while they speak, laugh, entertain, and practice English.


Based on what I observed, I could notice that having two activities that require students be standing is not so suitable because the interest diminishes.


I could notice that they were on task all the time and their attitude toward the activity was very nice.

So, in the future, I will do prepare activities in which students have more contact among them.




In future lessons I will try to combine the activities and not having TPR activities in arrow.




Next time I´ll provide them activities in groups because they seem to like this kind of activities.

Describe








I can say that my first class this last period was good because I had a previous teaching experience with that group of students; so, it was very nice working with them again because I felt very confident. The warm up activity was very nice because all the students enjoyed talking about animals. I made a review about passive voice and all the students were attentive in class.

I could notice that the students were very excited in the warm up activity.




I could see that at the moment of explaining the grammar about passive voice many students have doubts about the topic.


When they were doing the exercise I provided them they were a little confused.




Based on what I saw, I think that students really enjoy interacting among them.





Based on what I observed, I think that I did not provide the appropriate explanation to the topic; in which the students could understand the topic very well


I could notice that my grammar explanation was not enough to cover the students ‘need of knowledge to apply it in the practice.

So, in the future, I will do many activities like this one in which students talk and interact among them paying attention to provide them interesting topics.


In future lessons I will try to explain the topic in the simplest way, I will try to provide them only the necessary information to understand the topic.



Next time I will try not to complicate at the moment of explaining grammar; I will try to do it in a concise way.
