Describe


 
My last class was really good because I felt so confident and exited because I was about to finish my practicum. For, I try to make a different warm up. What I did was that I took them to an imaginary scenario; they closed their eyes and I was guiding them into a trip in their mind. At the end I made them questions about specific details of their imaginary trip. The next activity was a reading about meetings in different countries and they made groups of four ss and the last activity was a presentation based on the reading.

I could notice that the students were with their eyes closed and enjoyed the imaginary trip.



I could see that at the moment of the reading activity they were very attentive, they payed attention while I was reading.



When they were in groups. I was explaining to one group what they were supposed to do and I was focus on them; then I notice that a group started to speak of different topics they were not on task at the moment




Based on what I saw warm up activities can be different once in a while. Because they were very active in the class despite the activity was not about to be moving.


I could observe that it is very important to give them time for them to read and look for new words in a reading and write them in the board and explain the meaning.



Monitoring is very important because if I pay too much attention to one side of the classroom the other side will be chaos.

In future lessons I will consider to include this activity without over use it.






In the future I will try to include inside the reading a glossary of probable’s new words.





Next time I will try to provide indications in more simple ways. In that way I will monitor the classroom the whole time.
